God Remains

Everyone has moments where they are disappointed. Where they didn’t get what they had wanted or what they believed they had earned. Or maybe, where they are just waiting for something better to come.

In the lesson from the book of Genesis, Jacob finds the Lord, who says that he will remain with Jacob wherever he goes and will bring him back to the house of God. Additionally, In the reading from the Gospel of John, Jesus tells Nathanael that he will see greater things and that he will see heaven opening up to him.

These readings reminded me of a time when I was disappointed because I had not been chosen for a specific position in a club. At the time, I wasn’t thinking of other opportunities I could earn, instead, I was only focused on the disappointment and where I currently was. However, soon after, new opportunities were presented to me to get even more involved in TMP and Holy Communion. The entire time, I was too focused on my current state to see even better chances for me to get involved in school and in spiritual life at Berkeley. Similar to the readings, the Lord showed me that he remains with me at all times to help me see the greater things that are to come. While my mind was stuck, He was with me when I did not even know it.

The Lord has allowed me to see new opportunities along with seeing beyond experiences I was stuck on, in order to see how the Angels of god have helped me and how they are currently working in my favor.
